POP lo! 9 weeks in Raven has finally come to an end. come to think about it, time really does fly. i can vividly remember what happened on the 1st day of enlistment on 050511. everyone ( including me ) look like blur cock HAHA. everyone didnt know what to do and all we did was to stay in our own bunks and pack our stuff. our individual Section Commanders ( sgt xavier for me! ) went in and talk to us when we had the time. it was all awkward at 1st but slowly it became a routine for us. bit by bit, we were getting used to the life in tekong. we are all starting to become much closer friends with one another within the section.
the turning point in our platoon came during the field camp. without a doubt, it was tough. tougher than anything you would have undergo during your 19 years of life. but we pulled through. together as a platoon. this was when everyone started to know one another in the platoon and not just within their own section. i got to know some really good friends like delvin, gabriel and so on. this was when i realised what they meant by, when we undergo shit together, we grow closer together.
after field camp, we were much closer with one another. we are now able to talk to each other much easier. i can still go into their bunks without feeling awkward or what. the feeling was really good. with all the friends that went through shit together around me, i feel really happy. although we know that it was not the end of BMT, and there are more tough times to come, i know that with this bunch of people, we can all pull through together.
other than the platoon mates, our commanders are also great! sgt elian, yuhong, matthaeus and xavier. lt bryan and daryll. they were there for us all the way. although sometimes they can be really fierce when we do the wrong things, but i know it's all for our own good ( HAHA SERIOUSLY I MEANT THIS! ). and i know it will benefit us in the future. each and everyone of them had their pros and cons. and when they are group together, they really make a great team! im glad i was a recruit under them. and hopefully i have done my part and made them proud of me :D
in the mist of all this, i also made great friends from other platoons! especially platoon 4 HAHA. but yea it's really hard to say goodbye to them. hopefully we can all see each other again in command school eh! I WILL MISS RAVEN AND EVERY MEMORIES THAT IT GAVE ME DURING THIS 9 WEEKS. WE TRAIN TO FIGHT TO WIN, RAVEN!
